Not my car, and yes you read that right, a SVT Focus in Japan. I'll include the source thread for details, I suggest you click it for more pictures..

I thought that was cool, until I noticed his '03 DSG Cobra at Mount Fuji.
And that guy is really Japanese. At first I thought he was an American serviceman stationed in Japan.

I like the Mk1 Focus we got in the U.K. and Europe, but the front indicators here look like an after thought against the ones we got.
Even the earlier ones looked better IMO.

ugh those bumper ones look awful, the ones in the headlight look good.

Most people make that mistake, but he is born and raised Japanese who just likes American cars. He had a 97 cobra that he totaled before importing that 03 DSG from California.

I can relate (although I do hate excessive wannabeism, such as people who put "VOTE FOR KENNEDY" stickers on their 1965 Mustangs or buy fake American plates). I just thought he was American at first because he's in Japan, and it's well known how the US have troops there.

The lower of the two is the Mk1 circa 1998, the one above being I suppose would be called Mk1.5 from circa 2001-04.
Of the three the Mk1.5 is the more asthetically clean.
The rear foglamp (lower right) and reversing lamp (lower left) both with reflectors above also look better intergrated than the SVT.

yeah theirs a few people on that site who are/were stationed in places like Okinawa.
I haven't seen him try to "USDM" his cars (although he doesn't really have to).

we don't have rear fog lights in the US, hence why you see what you see on the SVTF.

Oh right. I thought it was only Japan that didn't have rear fogs as they always have to be retro fitted to JDM imports.
Some are tastefully done (though still not perfect).
Others are just slung underneath.
